I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
